James D. Griffith — Publisher

James D. Rietveld — Editor-in-Chief

James Rietveld is a professor of Religion, Archaeology, and Antiquities from Claremont Graduate University’s School of Religion (PhD 2006). His specialties include the History of Christianity in the Early, Medieval, and Byzantine periods and Greco-Roman religions. Also at Claremont, Rietveld minored in Islam and Hinduism. Rietveld received both his Bachelor of Arts and his Masters of Arts in History at California State University Fullerton in 1991 and 1998 respectively and a classical education in Greek and Latin from University of California Irvine from 1999-2001. Rietveld is currently teaching at California State University Long Beach. He has a passion for studies revolving around Asia Minor and his forthcoming book will focus on Artemis of the Ephesians
Darryl Lilly — Art Director
Darryl Lilly provides the technical expertise in the "graphic design" phase of the production of Sacred History Magazine. Darryl also supervises the Graphic Design team for Wordsmith Media, the publisher of SHM and a several other world-class periodicals, not to mention his assistance with the graphical user interface of corporate web development.
Lisa Derrick — Senior Editor, Faith & Culture
Lisa Derrick has written for numerous national publications such as Spin, Details, and Salon, and was the Associate Editor of Grammy Magazine. She is also the author of Frommer’s Las Vegas with Kids.
Christine Felton — Editor, Contemporary Cultures
Christine Felton received her BA in English Literature from Westmont College and has been a freelance writer for more than 15 years. She also studied Art and Illustration at the California College of the Arts. Her childhood experiences in New York City included Catholic catechism classes, Pentecostal church services, and Hebrew folk songs at a Jewish day camp. She currently lives in southern California.
